This breed is a working breed and they require an outlet for their boundless amount of energy and love of playing! They are also an
intelligent breed so training is a must or they will rule the house! We do at least basic obedience with all our dogs and recommend everyone take AT LEAST one obedience class with their new
puppy. Make sure you are educated, prepared and up to the challenge before acquiring a puppy. This is a lifetime commitment!
This breed can be dominant and stubborn and therefore I would not recommend them for everybody.The American Bulldog is a loyal dog and is
naturally protective of its family. He is also comical and loves to play. They are very strong dogs and are not suitable for the elderly. American Bulldogs require strong leadership from a young
age . They can be suspicious of strangers by nature but are very friendly under normal circumstances. It is vital for this breed to be very well socialized from a young age. The American Bulldog
can be dog aggressive, especially if not introduced to other dogs when they are puppies, but with great leadership from your part it
should be under control.
I have had experience with many breeds and the American Bulldog is by far my favorite breed. I admire their
loyalty, I love the look of them, I love their strength, athleticism, their willpower is unlike anything else, they are lots of fun and are great cuddlers!
Beware: There are many breeders out there who breed indiscriminately, with no regards to quality, temperament or health. Dont be part of the
problem, be part of the solution, DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT PUPPY MILLS!
